Carpus Chang is Antipodean Flora. My love for gardening and landscape design led to the creation of Antipodean Flora.  A studio that designs outdoor spaces for clients around the San Francisco Bay Area, utilizing plants from the other side of the world. 

South African and Australian natives demand very little, yet provide so much beauty.  They thrive particularly well in our Bay Area climate and are often overlooked as great choices for gardens.  Utilizing plants from the antipodes, I named my studio after these gorgeous specimens.

Through juxtaposing leafy textures against sculptural shapes, Antipodean Flora's aesthetic aims to achieve a dry garden that is visually stunning and a joy to be in.  Indeed, drought tolerant gardens can feel both lush and modern.
